2023년 1월 28일 WeSA Festival 2022에는 공연에 앞서 워크숍이 열립니다. Ableton Live에 관한 두 종류의 워크숍과 초대 아티스트인 SYNSPECIES의 작업에 대한 렉처를 들을 수 있습니다.
Ableton Live 관련은 ‘공연+워크숍 티켓’을 구매하셔야 하며SYNSPECIES의 강의는 ‘공연 티켓’만 구매하셔도 자유롭게 들으실 수 있습니다. 티켓 구매는 멜론티켓을 통해 가능합니다.
On January 28, 2023, prior to the performances at WeSA Festival 2022, workshops will be held. Participants can attend two types of workshops on Ableton Live, as well as a lecture on the work of the guest artist, SYNSPECIES.
To attend the Ableton Live workshops, you must purchase a “Performance + Workshop Ticket.” However, SYNSPECIES’ lecture is open to those with a “Performance Ticket” only. Tickets can be purchased through Melon Ticket.
Ableton Live API Workshop (with M4L)
오후 3시 박다희 (60분)
- 준비물: Ableton Live Suite 11, Max 8가 설치된 노트북, 이어폰 혹은 헤드폰
*실습에 목적을 둔 워크샵이 아니므로 노트북은 필수사항이 아님. - 대상: Ableton Live/Max에 대한 대략적인 이해도가 있는 사람.
- 소개: Ableton Live API는 Live Set, Clip, Interface, Control Surface 등에 접근하여 Live를 통한 작업을 유연하게 해준다. 본 워크샵은 Max for Live를 이용하여 Ableton Live API 접근법을 알아보면서 추후 본인의 작업에 M4L 플러그인을 사용하거나 커스터마이징 할 때 보다 더 창의적인 접근이 가능해 질 수 있도록 가능성을 소개하는 데 목적을 둔다.
Ableton Live API Workshop (with M4L)
Time: 3:00 PM – Instructor: Park Da-hee (60 minutes)
Requirements:
- Laptop with Ableton Live Suite 11 and Max 8 installed
- Earphones or headphones
(A laptop is not mandatory, as the workshop is not focused on hands-on practice.)
Target Audience:
- Individuals with a basic understanding of Ableton Live and Max.
Overview:
Ableton Live API provides flexible access to elements such as Live Sets, Clips, Interface, and Control Surfaces, enhancing workflow within Live. This workshop aims to introduce methods for accessing the Ableton Live API using Max for Live (M4L), helping participants explore more creative possibilities when using or customizing M4L plugins in their future projects.
Ableton Live CV Tools + Modular Synth
오후 4시 윤지영 (60분)
- 준비물: Ableton Live Suite 가 설치된 노트북, CV Tools pack (https://www.ableton.com/en/packs/cv-tools/), 이어폰 혹은 헤드폰 (준비물 전부는 추천사항/필수조건 아님)
- 대상: Ableton Live를 가지고 작곡을 하거나 하고싶은 사람들 중 Modular Synth와의 연동에 대해 관심이 있는 사람
- 소개: 요즘 Modular Synth를 가지고 음악을 만들거나, 연주를 하는 뮤지션들이 많아지는 추세이다. 랙을 무한대로 늘릴 수 있다면 좋겠지만, 물리적인 제약 때문에 최소한의 셋업을 유지하고자 하는 사람들이 대다수이다. 그에 유용할 내용을 다루고자 한다.

Time: 4:00 PM – Instructor: Yoon Ji-young (60 minutes)
Requirements:
- Laptop with Ableton Live Suite installed
- CV Tools pack (Download here)

(All items are recommended but not mandatory.)
Target Audience:
- Individuals who compose music or wish to compose with Ableton Live and are interested in integrating Modular Synths.
Overview:
The use of Modular Synths in music creation and performance is becoming increasingly popular. While having an infinitely expandable rack would be ideal, most musicians aim to maintain a minimal setup due to physical constraints. This workshop will cover practical techniques and insights to help integrate Modular Synths effectively with Ableton Live.

- Materials Needed: None. The artist will give a lecture on their work (in English, without interpretation).
- Audience: The SYNSPECIES LECTURE is open to everyone who has purchased either a “Performance + Workshop Ticket” or just a “Performance Ticket.”
