직접 수중용 마이크 제작하고 물 속 소리를 녹음하는 실습 워크샵

 

개요:

하이드로폰은 물 속의 소리를 녹음할 수 있는 특별한 마이크로, 과학 연구부터 예술 프로젝트까지 다양한 분야에서 활용됩니다. 이번 워크샵에서는 참가자들이 직접 하이드로폰을 제작하고, 완성된 마이크로 물 속의 소리를 녹음해보는 시간을 가집니다. 전자 기기 조립과 납땜에 대한 기본 지식을 배우고, 실제 녹음 과정을 체험할 수 있는 이 워크샵에 여러분을 초대합니다.각자 완성한 하이드로폰은 참가자가 가져갈 수 있습니다.

 

강사소개:

윤지영은 한국의 전자음악 작곡가이자 사운드 아티스트이다. 현대 음악의 다양한 장르와 스타일을 넘나드는 창작 활동으로 주목받고 있으며, 사운드를 독특한 방식으로 디자인 하고, 첨단의 테크놀러지를 접목 시켜 창작을 하는 것이 특징이다. 2016년 독일로 이주한 이후, 유럽으로 활동 무대를 넓혀 다양한 전시와 공연을 하였으며, 전자음악 라이브 퍼포먼스부터 사운드 인스톨레이션, 영화음악/사운드의 바운더리를 오가며 자신의 예술적 역량을 펼치고 있다. 독특한 음악적 색깔과 창작성으로 젊은 세대를 비롯한 많은 이들에게 새로운 영감을 주고 있다. 귀국을 한 후 2023년에는 국립 아시아 문화전당의 소리 연구기관 사운드랩의 연구원으로 활동하며, ACC에 전시되는 여러 작품을 만들었다. WeSA Festival에서는 2014년과 2023년에 작품 발표를 하였고, 2022년부터 지금까지 WeSA 아카데미에서 ‘Ableton Live를 활용한 사운드 디자인’과목을 강의하고 있다.  

A hands-on workshop where participants will create their own hydrophones and record underwater sounds.

 

Overview:

A hydrophone is a special microphone designed to record sounds underwater, and it is used in various fields from scientific research to artistic projects. In this workshop, participants will create their own hydrophones and have the opportunity to record sounds underwater using their completed microphones. You will learn basic knowledge about assembling electronic devices and soldering, and experience the actual recording process. The hydrophones you create will be yours to take home.

 

Instructor Introduction:

Yoon Ji-young is a South Korean electronic music composer and sound artist. She has gained attention for her creative work that spans various genres and styles in contemporary music, known for designing sound in unique ways and integrating cutting-edge technology into her creations. After moving to Germany in 2016, she expanded her activities across Europe, participating in various exhibitions and performances. From live electronic music performances to sound installations and film music/sound, she has showcased her artistic abilities. Her distinctive musical style and creativity have inspired many, particularly the younger generation. Upon returning to Korea, she became a researcher at the Sound Lab, the sound research institution of the National Asia Culture Complex in 2023, where she created several works exhibited at the ACC. She presented her works at the WeSA Festival in 2014 and 2023, and since 2022, she has been teaching “Sound Design using Ableton Live” at the WeSA Academy.

  1. 녹음 실습 
  • 제작한 하이드로폰 테스트
  • 다양한 물 속 환경을 만들어 녹음 및 재생, 약간의 이펙팅
  • 녹음된 소리 분석 및 토론

[ Day 2 ]

Recording Practice

  • Testing the hydrophones created
  • Creating different underwater environments for recording and playback, with some effects
  • Analysis and discussion of recorded sounds

  • Anyone interested in field recording, anyone who has done soldering at least once
  • Anyone familiar with handheld recorders
