개요:
전자 회로는 우리 일상 속 깊이 숨어 있습니다. 모든 전자 제품(장치)에는 눈으로 보이지 않지만, 묵묵히 자신의 역할을 수행하고 있는 회로가 있습니다. 1970년대에 개발된 555 IC(Integrated Circuit)는 가장 유명한 전자 부품 중 하나로, 지금도 다양한 전자장치에 사용되고 있습니다. 이를 이용하면 몇가지 부품 조합만으로도 타이머, 스위칭, 오실레이터 등을 만들어 볼 수 있습니다.
이번 워크숍은 손으로 직접 부품들을 조립하는 전통적인 방식을 이용해 작은 소리 장치를 만들어 봅니다. 전자 회로의 기본 원리를 살펴보고, 나만의 특별한 소리를 만들어보는 즐거움을 느낄 수 있습니다. 특별한 전자 공학 지식이 없어도 참여할 수 있습니다.
강사소개:
대학에서 미디어아트를 접한 후 컴퓨팅의 상호작용성에 관심을 가지게 됐다. 현재는 기술을 매체로 이용한 창작 과정에서 교육의 의미를 찾고자 대학원에서 컴퓨팅 교육을 공부하고 있다. 특히, 초보자를 위한 컴퓨팅 경험에 관심이 많으며, 크리에이티브 코딩과 피지컬 컴퓨팅 영역에서 지속적으로 활동하고 있다.
조립 장난감, 완구, 키트 형태의 무언가 만들 수 있는 장치를 좋아한다. 손으로 뚝딱뚝딱 하는 과정을 중요하게 생각한다. 작은 전자 장치를 이용하는 전자장치의 미학을 탐구하며, 시대의 관점을 넘나들 수 있는 작업을 시도한다. 최근, 2022 언폴드X, 2023 제로원 크리에이터, 위사 아카데미 강사 등으로 활동중이다.

Overview:
Electronic circuits are deeply embedded in our daily lives. Every electronic product (device) has circuits that quietly perform their role, even though they are invisible to the eye. The 555 IC (Integrated Circuit), developed in the 1970s, is one of the most famous electronic components and is still widely used in various electronic devices today. By using this component, you can create timers, switches, oscillators, and more with just a few components.
This workshop will use the traditional method of assembling components by hand to create a small sound device. You’ll explore the basic principles of electronic circuits and enjoy the process of creating your own unique sound. No special knowledge of electronics is required to participate.
Instructor Introduction:
After studying media art in university, the instructor developed an interest in the interactivity of computing. Currently, they are studying computing education in graduate school, seeking to find the meaning of education in the creative process using technology as a medium. They are particularly interested in computing experiences for beginners and continue to be active in the fields of creative coding and physical computing.
They enjoy assembling toys, gadgets, and kit-based devices, and emphasize the importance of hands-on work. The instructor explores the aesthetics of using small electronic devices and tries to create works that transcend the perspectives of different eras. Recently, they have been active as an instructor at UnfoldX 2022, ZeroOne Creator 2023, and WeSA Academy.
