개요:
본 강좌는 동시대 미술과 미디어 그리고 매체로서의 예술 생산 및 그 유통과 소비의 구조에 관심 있는 미적 주체들을 대상으로 한다. 이로부터 기술이 선도하는 동시대의 속성과 그러한 조건으로부터 형성된 당대 예술의 구조와 그것을 향한 담론을 살핀다.
강사소개:
장진택은 독립 기획자이자 동시대 미술 연구자로, 당대성에 기반한 한국의 큐레이팅 실천 및 그 형성 과정에 관심을 두고 전시와 텍스트를 생산한다. 일민미술관, 플랫폼엘 컨템포러리 아트센터, 인사미술공간 등지의 기관에서 전시를 기획하였고, 기획 전시 플랫폼 INTERACTION SEOUL을 독자적으로 운영키도 했으며, 현대자동차 ZER01NE 크리에이터 스튜디오 팀장을 역임하였다. 현재는 홍익대학교, 고려대학교, 중앙대학교 등지에서 현대 미술 이론과 동·서양 미술사 그리고 매체론을 강의한다.
Overview:
This course is aimed at those interested in contemporary art, media, and the production, distribution, and consumption structures of art as a medium. It explores the properties of contemporary times driven by technology, the structures of art formed under such conditions, and the discourse surrounding them.
Instructor Introduction:
Jang Jintaek is an independent curator and contemporary art researcher. He focuses on the curatorial practices of Korea based on contemporary issues and the formation of these practices, producing exhibitions and texts. He has curated exhibitions at institutions such as Ilmin Museum of Art, Platform-L Contemporary Art Center, and Insa Art Space, and has independently run the exhibition platform INTERACTION SEOUL. He also served as the team leader of Hyundai Motor’s ZER01NE Creator Studio. Currently, he lectures on contemporary art theory, East-West art history, and media studies at universities including Hongik University, Korea University, and Chung-Ang University.
