[ Stevie Jonathan Sutanto ]

Stevie J. Sutanto (b. 1992) is an Indonesian composer/sound artist whose works are mostly influenced by his surroundings, revealing the impression and thought he encountered from happenings. His interest in other kind of arts emerged since the last year of his study, which then giving him more expanse to express himself, in addition to sound. 

Stevie currently resides in Linz, Austria, studying Interface Culture in Kunstuniversität Linz. His works has been performed on several events including Manila Composers Lab, Pentas Musik UPH, Yogyakarta Contemporary Music Festival, Ruang Suara - Frankfurt Lab, Asian Composers League, Pekan Seni Media Bandung, Mindzapp5 experimental/noise affair, Holland Festival, Ars Electronica Festival, and Shanghai New Music Week.

[ Junho Jang ]
작곡가 장준호는 새로운 소리에 대한 철학적 개념을 부여하는 작업을 즐긴다.
어쿠스틱스에서 아직 발견되지 않은 새로운 소리들을 연구하고 있으며, 이를 적극적으로 자신의 작품에 활용한다.
그의 작업으로는,
“돌”(2012오사카ACC초청연주), “Colourful”(2013 fest-M 연주), “Les Fenêtres”(2013 일본 현대 음악 앙상블단체 Alpha 연주), “Obsessive-compulsive act”(fest-M 최우수 연주, 서울국제컴퓨터음 악제 2014 초청연주), 아우디디자인챌린지 파이널리스트(2016) 등이 있다.
추계예술대학교 음악대학 작곡과를 졸업했으며, 현재 한국예술종합학교 음악테크놀로지과에 재학중이다.
 
[ Sabina Hyoju Ahn ]
Sabina Hyoju Ahn is an artist who works with various media, sound and organic materials. Her research in- volves finding hidden rules and patterns in natural elements and translating it into different shapes of percep- tual experiences. Her works have been shown in various places including Piksel festival, Transmediale Vor- spiel(DE), Mediamatic(NL), Athens Digital Arts Festival(GR), Mata festival(US), AMRO(AT), Lab 30(DE), Mullae Seoul Art Space(KR), ACT Festival(KR). Recently, she has been awarded NIME (New Interface for Musical Expression 2017) Best Sound Performance and currently participating residency program in Asia Culture Cen- tre in Gwangju, South Korea.  
유기적인 데이터를 소리나 빛 또는 다른 감각 기관으로 바꾸는 작업에 초점을 두고 있다. 자연에 존재하지만 눈으로는 보이지 않는 숨겨 진 패턴이나, 규칙등을 찾는 것에 흥미가 많고 죽음과 생명, 에너지의 순환과 다양한 변환에 대해 관심이 많다. Piksel Festival(노르웨 이), Transmediale(독일), Lab30(독일), Mediamatic(네덜란드), Athens Digital Arts Festival(그리스), 닻올림(대한민국), 서 울문화재단 MAP2016(대한민국) 등에 참여하였고, 최근 NIME 2017에서 Best Sound Performance를 수상하였다. 현재는 국립 아시아문화전당 방문창작자 프로그램에 참여중이다.

[ Sebastian Löbbers X Yeonsoo Do ]

Sebastian Löbbers is a German musician, composer and digital artist with a background in classical and jazz piano performance. He attended the Dr. Hoch’s Conservatory in Frankfurt and later studied Music Technology and Electrical Engineering at the Technical University in Munich. He holds a BA in Music Technology from the University of West London and a MMus in Sonic Arts at Goldsmiths, University of London. He was the pianist and guitarist for Bavarian black metal band Waldwind, which toured through Europe and South America. His current work explores music computing and audio- visual relationships with a focus on interactive and algorithmic digital art. 

 

Yeonsoo Do is a South Korean dancer and choreographer. She has a background in Korean dance and performed domestically and internationally with the art company “The Little Angels” since the age of 10. She graduated from Sunhwa Art School where she completed her secondary school education, and holds a BA in dance from Ewha Woman’s University. Currently, she is studying MFA Choreography at Trinity Laban Conservatoire in London. Her repertoire includes ballet, contemporary dance, Korean dance, hip hop, and acting. Her focus lies on the combination of contemporary and Korean dance. Her pieces often involve extensive collaboration with musicians and other artists.

[ SCHNITT ]

SCHNITT is an artistic collaboration between Amelie Duchow and Marco Monfardini evoked from the common interest in electronic music and visual art. The individual visions and styles from the two artists lead to SCHNITT in a unique form of expression.
The duo works in the transitional area between music, art and science focusing with their projects on the coherence between audio and video.
The development of their own specialized/innovative software and electronic devices, allows SCHNITT to create complex site specific audio /video installations and live performances.
Their use of abstract media material combined with the artists individualistic perception towards tecnology, builds the balance between form and concept of their works.
In 2007 SCHNITT releases their first 12” LP for the swiss label Invisible Recordings/IT’S, followed by the compilation “Snob Night” – CD (Video-Rai/Rai Trade) and at the compilation “Minimalismo Italiano” – CD (Registrazioni Italiane). In 2008 Amelie Duchow and Marco Monfardini collaborate on the realisation of Airloop 1.0 an installation and performance based on a video loop of 40 minutes.
In 2010 SCHNITT presents SYNCHROPATH an audio/video project focused on a synchronism as a method of composing, released on DVD and 12” LP.
With SYNCHROPATH, SCHNITT participates at several international music/new media festivals as the Elektra Festival/ Canada, Gogbot Festival/ Holland, Blurred Edges/Germany, Open Source Festival/Poland, Robot Festival/Italy.
In the same year they launch the platform for audio visual artists Sync, with the focus to enlarge musical experience through concepts expressed in new forms of video and sound.
For the opening of the lighting installation GROWING BY NUMBERS in 2011 at the Grattacielo Pirelli in Milan, the duo accompanies the event with a site specific sonorisation.
SCHNITT presents the audio video live performance MEMORY CODE a project focusing on the visual memory during the festival ePhil in Germany. 

In 2017 a new version of MEMORY CODE is presented in behalf of the reopening of the italian museum for contemporary art Centro Pecci.
On the canadian label Yatra arts SCHNITT releases in October 2017 a remix for Minim_50hz.

[ JULIAN SCORDATO ]

JULIAN SCORDATO studied Composition (BA) and Electronic Music (MA) at the Conservatory of Venice, Italy. He completed a Master's Degree in Sound Art at the University of Barcelona. Co-founding member of the Arazzi Laptop Ensemble, research assistant for the Sound and Music Processing Lab at the Conservatory of Padua, he currently works as a professor of Electronic Music at the Conservatory of Brescia. As an author and speaker, Scordato has presented results related to interactive performance systems and algorithmic composition in the context of conferences and seminars, including the 5th Conference on Computation, Communication, Aesthetics and X, the 21st International Symposium on Electronic Art, the 1st Conference of the European Sound Studies Association, the 8th Sound and Music Computing Conference, and the 19th Colloquium on Music Informatics. His award-winning electroacoustic and audiovisual works have been performed and exhibited in over 100 festivals and institutions. Among these are Venice Biennale, Institute of Contemporary Arts (London), Centre de Cultura Contemporània de Barcelona, Prague Quadrennial of Performance Design and Space, Instituto Cervantes (Rio de Janeiro), EMUfest (Rome), Gaudeamus Music Week (Utrecht), Festival de Música Electroacústica Punto de Encuentro (Valencia), Sonorities Festival (Belfast), Seoul International Computer Music Festival, Art & Science Days (Bourges), Kochi-Muziris Biennale, Center for Computer Research in Music and Acoustics (Stanford), Muestra de Música Electroacústica MUSLAB (Mexico City), Contemporary Music Research Center (Athens), Electronic Language International Festival (São Paulo), and New York City Electroacoustic Music Festival. His music has been broadcast by RAI Radio3, NAISA Webcast, RadioCemat, Radio Papesse, Radio UNAM, RadioCona, Radiophrenia, Ràdio Gràcia, and Radio Círculo. His scores have been published by Ars Publica and Taukay Edizioni Musicali.

감각이자 작업의 도구로서 소리에 깊은 관심을 갖고 연구하고 있습니다. 현재 홍익대학교 판화전공으로 졸업을 앞두고 있습니다.

미디어 아티스트 이진원은 비쥬얼 퍼포먼스 팀 태싯그룹의 핵심 멤버로서 다양한 예술활동을 펼치고 있다. 이진원은 미국에서 엔지니어로서 음악활동을 시작해 본조비, 레이지 어게인스트 머신, 자넷잭슨, 우탱클랜등의 음반작업에 참여했다. 귀국 후 가재발이라는 이름으로 테크노 뮤지션으로 데뷔해 한국인으로는 최초로 영국 테크노 차트 1위를 차지했으며, 이색적인 가요 프로젝트 ‘바나나걸’을 발표해 가요계의 주목을 받았다. 2005년 미디어 아티스트로 전향한 이진원은 광주 비엔날레, 오버뮤직(@백남준 아트센터), 렉쳐 퍼포먼스(@아트센터 나비)등에 참여해 왕성한 활동을 펼쳐왔다. 2008년 컴퓨터음악 작곡가 장재호와 ‘태싯그룹’을 결성해 음악계와 미술계를 아우르는 독창적인 작품 활동으로 주목을 받고 있다.

“Tacit Group” is a 2 member collective team and Jinwon Lee has been representative since the beginning. Jinwon Lee is a computer music composer and media artist while he is more a well-known techno musician in Korea since early 90s. He participated in both visual art exhibitions and electro-acoustic music performances.
